About Me

I am a licensed clinical social worker with 6 years of experience. I have experience working with individuals struggling with substance use disorders, trauma, suicidal thoughts and behaviors, traumatic brain injury, sexual trauma, LGBTQ issues, and military service related issues. I currently work with Veterans and focus on suicide prevention.

My counseling style is warm and solution focused. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approaches are primarily solution focused therapy, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and trauma informed care. My philosophy is that nothing happens inside a vacuum and I look at the entire picture of an individual's life to have a better understanding of how to help someone walk through the journey of healing. I am flexible and understanding and encourage individuals to be their own catalyst for change.

Asking for help and being vulnerable can be a very scary step in the process, and also the most important. I look at therapy as a partnership and a journey of two people working together in order to better one's life. I am very open minded and encourage open communication in every step along the way.

I look forward to meeting you!
