Lauren Dargan

About Me

I am a therapist who enjoys working with clients to find and develop their strengths. Therapy can be a collaborative relationship in which you and I work together to discover creative strategies, solutions and, at times, even humorous insights to help you practice new ways to thrive. I have worked in rural Montana with families, in residential foster care outside New York City, in hospitals and schools too! Now I am in Massachusetts raising my family near the ocean and working in both a clinic and a private practice. I enjoy starting the day walking my midsize lovable mutt in the woodsy trails near my home. Recently my work has focused on helping clients develop tools and strategies to lessen anxiety. As a trained Dialectical Behavior Therapist (DBT) I incorporate DBT strategies often including mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance and interpersonal effectiveness. Working together making small shifts, you can improve your everyday.

Lauren is highly professional and very easy to speak to. She's analytical, quick to understand my problems and has strong advice and guidance. I'd recommend her to anyone who suffers with anxiety whether that's mild or serious.

Lauren is a super easy person to talk to, she's kind, understanding, and professional. I cancelled my better help membership after a bad experience with a counsellor but have signed on again after having just one session with Lauren.

Lauren is patient and understanding of my needs. She asked me what my goals are and is helping me achieve peace and gain back my power. Highly recommend her!
