About me
Lauren Kretzmer, MSW, LCSW received her Masters in Social Work from Rutgers University in 2017 with a certificate in aging and health. Her work experience includes working with high risk children and adolescents, children and adolescents with disabilities, couples, families and adults. While Lauren is qualified to treat many mental health concerns, areas of special interest include work with children, trauma, anxiety, depression/mood disorders, grief and bereavement, children with disabilities suffering with mental health concerns, and family issues. Her counseling approach is grounded in solution-focused therapy where various other therapies are utilized such as cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness and insight-oriented therapy to guide her clients from pain to release. She has extensive training in trauma related work including the somatic approach to understand how our bodies hold the trauma throughout our lives and how we can learn to heal from them. Lauren has also completed a certification course in grief and bereavement counseling and certification completion of EFT.
