About Me

I would like to commend you on taking a step to seek out help in order to build a more fulfilling and happier life! I am here to help you develop solutions to your problems. I believe in working collaboratively with you to develop small, realistic goals that will ultimately help you tackle some of your biggest concerns. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, self-esteem issues, career challenges, addictions, and more. I have also worked with people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.

I truly believe in a cognitive-behavioral approach to counseling. We have to change our thinking in order to change our feeling and actions. Likewise, changing our actions can greatly impact how we think and feel. I believe everyone is capable of changing and redemption is real. Helping people find meaning in life is essential to my practice as a counselor. Sometimes it takes talking to someone else to find your true potential. I like to take a strengths-based approach when working with clients while also keeping sessions very flexible - we will go where you want to go with each session. People are my passion and I believe we must treat all with respect and dignity, regardless of who you are, what you do, and why you're here.

I have a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, specializing in children and adolescents; however, I have worked primarily with adults over the past 4 years of my career. I hold a license in the state of Wisconsin as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).

I generally can respond to you at least once per morning or once per evening, sometimes more! You can also book a live session with me ahead of time. **Please remember that BetterHelp (or sister site!) is not appropriate if you are in crisis or in immediate need of support.** In crisis situations, please call 911 or local emergency services. You can also call 1-800-273-TALK (8255) to talk to someone right away. You can also use the Crisis Text Line (available 24/7) by texting the word "home" to the number 741741 and someone will respond.

I look forward to working with you!

Lauren really listens to what I have to say. She doesn't judge me, and she's constantly focusing on the good things in me. She gives me clear and tangible goals instead of just talking about how I feel about things. She listens first and offers suggestions. I feel very comfortable telling her things on my mind.
