About me

Hi there!
My name is Lauren and I have been providing individual, couples, and family therapy for 3 years. From a very young age, I knew that my passion and career would be in a helping profession. I earned my Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois and continue to expand my knowledge and practice on a daily basis. I am passionate about helping other's in exploring their daily stressors, traumas, fears, anxieties, interpersonal relationships, goals, and assisting with navigating through their life journey. I provide strength-based, client centered therapy, utilizing various approaches that are evidence-based and have been proven to yield positive and successful results in clients lives. I am a dedicated learner, motivated, nonjudgmental, dependable, compassionate, open-minded, and optimistic. I strive to assist clients in exploring and achieving their full potential and working through any obstacles and challenges they face. I dedicate my life to helping individuals in identifying their needs, struggles, and goals, while assisting with their ability to learn and implement necessary tools and skills to navigate through life in order to be truly happy and fulfilled.

I enjoy working with any individual of any age. I primarily work with individuals experiencing, but not limited to: Depression, Anxiety and Fears, Grief and Loss, Trauma, Interpersonal Relationship Issues, and issues with Self-esteem/Self-worth. I am a Christian woman that dedicates her life and heart to Christ and helping others. If you are looking for a Christian Therapist, I can be help to you in this area as well. I enjoy working with ANYONE, regardless of their race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, age, sexual orientation, beliefs, or background. I look forward to meeting with you and building a trusting alliance that can promote growth and success in our therapeutic journey together!

I am typically available Monday-Friday 9am-5pm and am dedicated to responding to clients promptly and within 24 hours, but I ask for initial meetings to provide me at least 24-48 hours for a response (depending on my schedule that day). We can set up a video chat to discuss this further as well as weekly sessions. I generally can respond at least once per morning and once per evening, sometimes more! You can also book a live session with me ahead of time. Please remember that BetterHelp (or sister site!) is not appropriate if you are in crisis or in immediate need of support. In crisis situations, please call 911 or local emergency services. You can also call 1-800-273-TALK (8255) to talk to someone right away!”
