About Me

I have an earned Ph.D. from Oregon State University in Counseling. I also have a Washington state Mental Health License. Since 2001 I have had a private practice and explored ways to heal and achieve victory in multitudes of situations. My Ph.D. research and focus was with crisis counseling, self esteem issues and addictions. I have worked with those who have been abused on multiple levels, are stuck with bad communication habits, little support and even less energy. I believe in people, the power of prayer, creative energy that gets focused and the way home through the most difficult, cutting and painful roads.

I am a survivor of a near fatal motorcycle wreck in 2005 which put me in a coma for weeks and in the hospital 2 months. I crashed on my head and had to learn to walk again, talk again without drooling and drive with double vision with my destroyed left eye. My recovery back took 2 years and my family was hit also, with zero health insurance, a mother whose personality had changed and financial stress all over. My efforts connecting with the power of God and others really helped saved me. I am back and excelling in life, though a different version of myself. I hope to meet you and forge a winning path together.

Currently I do counseling via phone and email.

All the Best,
Laurie Roth Ph.D.

I look forward to meeting with Laurie. She is upbeat and encouraging. I always come away with a more positive outlook after talking with her.

Laurie helped me and my husband with the most difficult time in our lives. I am thankful to have someone who listens to me, and to walkthrough the difficult conversation with my spouse
