I believe the foundation to wellness involves assisting one to learn, identify, and understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while providing skills to respond to and manage ones thoughts, emotions and behaviors effectively resulting in improved mental fitness, mind and body. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. My expertise includes substance abuse, co-occurring disorders, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, grief and loss, and trauma as well as guiding people to decrease stress and living a more gratifying way of life.

My first experience with this service was really not so great and I almost gave up on it. If it wasn't for Laurie, I would have. She has been incredibly helpful in my life, whether it be just an objective ear to talk to or by giving me actual tools and tips to overcome my crippling anxieties. She checks in during the week, is great with scheduling, is quick to respond, patient and I look forward to our calls. It has quickly become a part of my weekly routine and I have difficulty creating healthy routines and sticking to them. I am super appreciative of her and would recommend her services to anyone looking for help.
I am very lucky that I was paired with my counselor Laurie. I almost quit the app in the beginning but it’s because of her that is stayedS I have been through years of face-to-face therapy, with two other therapists, over 12 years. Laurie is the first one that I’ve fully felt safe with. It sounds strange since we’ve never Met face-to-face...- but it seems I can truly open up and say everything I need to...I have a hard job which means scheduling is difficult- I always feel like I’m a priority with her. She gives me articles worksheets to go through to help understand things I’m going through and quantify my emotions. She checks in with me several times during the week in between our appointments. Almost daily. Every if I don’t have time to write back. I know that if I write to her about something- anything- that she will respond quickly. I feel listened to, and understood, and safe. I can’t say thank you enough, for Laurie.
Laurie is supportive and makes you feel comfortable sharing even on the most difficult topics. She is quick to respond and shares multiple ideas to try to help. It has been a great experience thus far!
Laurie has been really helpful and supportive during our sessions. She listens and understands and really makes an effort to help, and I never feel judged or scared to disclose something.
Laurie was very helpful and professional at helping me understand what was going on and teaches lessons very well.
I immediately felt comfortable talking to Laurie after one session. She listens but also gives me feedback and tips and I feel better afterwards. The worksheets help me also, after many years in traditional office therapy that is now a little more difficult with my schedule, I'm glad I did this.
Laurie has been supportive and understanding since we began to communicate. She is reliable and knowledgeable which has helped with understanding my relationship with myself and those around me. I highly recommend her as a therapist!
So far (this has been a short relationship), Laurie has listened and responded to what I have said. She has reacted well when I have had objections to certain ways of framing things and has given some great insight and good tools to move forward. I look forward to continuing this process with her.
