About Me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado and have been working in community mental health since 2015. I work closely with individuals who are currently going through major life changes (marriage, growing family, career changes, divorce, death, etc.). I also have experience in helping people struggling with grief and loss, chronic illness, facing terminal illnesses, or experiencing caregiver stress.

I approach counseling by looking at all aspects of life; mind, body, environment, and spirit through a solution-oriented and cognitive behavioral therapy lens. I believe that what we believe about ourselves and the world around us affects our behavior and our feelings. Learning how to manage our thought processes helps us to gain control over our emotions and our behaviors. I am also fully trained in EMDR to help people who have experienced or are experiencing trauma. Please note that EMDR will require the use of video chat. I cannot do EMDR via phone or text.

Lea and I have only been working together for a couple weeks but I have already gained so much insight into my own mind! Lea is very easy to talk to has a sense of humor which helps me relax and feel comfortable.

Thank you so much, Lea, I look forward to working with you further!

I very much recommend Lea. She's knowledgeable, supportive, understanding, and for the most part prompt in response. She helped me through a rough patch in ways I never otherwise experienced.
