About me

Hello; my name is Lecia Fuller- Martin and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Virginia. I recognize that life can be challenging leaving you unsure of what is your next step. There are a number of things that equate to effective therapy: expertise, clarity in diagnosis, familiarity and experience. I have developed a passion for helping individuals, couples and families understand, confront, and overcome certain psychological challenges they may face. As a dedicated counseling professional I aim to assist in teaching empowerment, long-term coping strategies and acceptance of one’s unique personality. I believe counseling can bring hope, insight and even wisdom into your life; which is why I offer a personalized, but integrated approach to the counseling process. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. My counseling style is very empathetic, mindful, affirming, warm and client-centered, yet direct and straightforward. I believe in treating everyone with respect and dignity but most importantly I pride myself on demonstrating compassion. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Christopher Newport University, and a Masters in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. As a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 15-years of experience in a variety of counseling treatment settings, I have treated a wide-range of patients. From young adults, individuals, families and couples; I provide a safe, judgement-free space in which you can be heard and feel supported.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Lecia Fuller-Martin. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

Lecia has been extremely helpful with both listening and intervening when appropriate. I’ve had many therapists in the past and I prefer having someone’s professional opinion in addition to a sounding board. I appreciate all she’s done for me so far.

Dr Fuller-Martin has been a blessing and thanks to the BetterHelp app it’s been easy to schedule an appt to talk to her whenever I need. In the past it was hard to see a therapist within a months time and then they’d just brush me off. She doesn’t do that though and takes me seriously. I definitely recommend giving the app a shot or recommend talking to Dr Fuller-Martin.

Lecia is great. It is easy to talk to her, and I feel like she listens to me and understands my concerns. I have worked with Lecia for only a short time, but I feel like she has helped me make progress.
