About Me

Welcome, my name is Lesley "Lee" Weir and I am a Licensed Mental Health Clinician in Washington State. I have served the mental health community for over 10 years. I began working with survivors of domestic violence in 2009. I extended my experience working with individuals in acute crisis and seeking support for suicidal ideations. In 2012 I began volunteering at a Rape Crisis Center and supporting individuals struggling with sexual trauma. I worked with survivors and perpetrators of abuse, helping to change their inner dialogue to live safe and fulfilling lives. It is my passion and privilege to assist and witness as others let go and embrace new fulfilling lives.
I invite you to explore your heart and thoughts to change the way you perceive and experience life. Since we are conditioned to live life through the mind, we analyze everything that happens. Unfortunately this can sometimes mean we become a victim of our minds, trying to find solutions or rationalize why certain things are happening.
This is in large part due to our upbringing. As children we are sponges, we absorb and believe everything we see. If we grow up with confusion, trauma, or neglect we will become adults who filter the world through a skewed, or dirty, lens. This lens, belief system, can often trap us in a lifestyle that is not compatible with what we have in, and long for with our heart.
It is this understanding that drives my therapeutic approach. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral, Attachment Theory, Schemas, and Family Systems to address the filters given to us, to help eliminate those filters and connect to ourselves authentically.
I believe the key to therapy and growth is curiosity about yourself. Understanding the communication between the mind and heart. Working to shed the boxes of who and what others, and sometimes, even ourselves expect. Whether this is related to gender, sexuality, career, or interpersonal identity, our curiosity can help us accept ourselves and allow us to move forward into our true self and reveal our ability to identify and achieve goals.
If you are looking to change your inner dialogue and your connection to the world and who you truly are, I hope you will connect with me and begin a life changing journey.

I could not be more grateful to have Lee as my counselor. They guide me with compassion, understanding, empathy, and a sense of humor. Lee holds space for me to show up in any and all the ways that are true and authentic to me and celebrates my vulnerability and my progress on my goals. I feel so supported, encouraged, and positively challenged by Lee, and it is such a gift to wade through the waters of my life with their caring, respectful, insightful expertise. I have already made so much growth in the time we've been working together and it's been amazing. I really could go on and on about how much I love Lee and how grateful I am to be a client of theirs. Each session with Lee has been so valuable.

She tells me what I need to hear, not what I want to.
