My name is Lesli Overstret, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW in Massachusetts and LCSW in New Jersey). I earned my MSW from Rutgers University, and I tend to take an eclectic approach to my work. I believe that successful counseling is largely about the connection between the client and the clinician, and the trust one feels with the therapist. My goal is to help you work through whatever concerns or issues you bring with you, and get to the place that you want to be by offering an objective perspective and support.
In addition, I am a Certified Family Therapist and have a great deal of training and experience in both medical and psychiatric Social Work. My particular areas of expertise are loss (every change in your life involves loss(es)), aging, and end-of-life concerns, and grief. In addition, I have successfully worked with couples and families. I enjoy working with people from ages 20s to 90s. I learn from and with my clients as we progress through our therapeutic journey.
