Hello! My name is Leslie Davis. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in both California and Texas, with over 20 years of experience in the clinical psychotherapy and professional counseling arena in a multiple of backgrounds within private practice, community mental health and hospital settings. I have provided direct services, to both individuals and groups of culturally diverse adults and adolescents experiencing a wide range of concerns and mental health challenges, including bipolar disorder, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, complex trauma/PTSD, grief/loss, substance abuse and relationship issues. I am specially trained in Mindfulness- Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Crisis Intervention. I am also a Registered Yoga Instructor (RYT-200).
Please reach out to me regarding your best day/time for sessions and I will do my best to accommodate your schedule needs if you do not see appointments available on my calendar. Note: I offer only live video or telephone sessions to my clients at this time.
My counseling style is warm and compassionate, with emphasis on the importance of providing a safe, strength-based, and non-judgmental space to my clients. I combine my therapeutic techniques with mindfulness and a sense of humor. As a therapist, I am passionate about work that is collaborative in nature, forming a partnership to explore together. We work for change, growth and acceptance that is both affirming and liberating.
Methods that guide my practice are a combination of Cognitive-Behavioral( CBT), ACT, Solution-focused, Dialectical (DBT), Psychodynamic, Mindfulness-based and Motivational Interviewing. I offer cutting edge evidence-based tools to help clients cope with barriers to their life's goals. I believe every person is unique, which means that our time together would be tailored to your particular needs based on cultural background, family dynamics and personal values. You may need some additional time to talk and make some sense out of your predicament. Or you may desire to learn practical skills to cope with your pain. Either way, I will be present with you and assist you as you journey toward a meaningful life.
I look forward to working with you and honoring your path of self-exploration.

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Leslie Davis. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
Leslie is an understanding and supportive therapist. She know when to listen and when to offer advice. Highly recommended.
Leslie has been the best thing to happen to me. I have never progressed in therapy as far as I have with her. She is so kind and empathetic. I wish I had met her years ago.
I have at this point seen Leslie twice but have already felt so much better and have a hope that I had misplaced. I look forward to our sessions weekly.
Leslie is very caring and understanding of my issues and gives me logical solutions for it. Brian
I have only been seeing Leslie for a short while, but I am already so grateful for the role she has played in my life. I never have felt judged by her and can say what is on my mind - Leslie always gives me food for thought and allows me to consider things from several different sides before arriving at answers or solutions on my own. Her guidance and patience and kindness have given me a lot of peace as I continue to navigate everyday challenges. Thank you, Leslie!!!
Leslie has been proactive in recommending topics to talk about that are relevant and helpful to dive into. She’s been incredible! Out of nearly a dozen therapists and councilors over the last 10+ years, Leslie is the first to make me feel fully understood and supported. She helps me keep track of and recognize the progress I’ve made over the last 6 months, which is helpful in keeping me motivated!
I am very pleased with Leslie David and trust her expertise. She has been an excellent source of advise this year. Thank you
I've been in therapy a few times, but never have I found a more understanding and easy to to talk to counselor than Leslie. She's absolutely incredible, she's patient and intelligent and I feel like she's helped me make progress in every session.
As a therapist myself, it is important for us to receive our own therapy. Being very picky and needing a therapist who could offer me more than what I am capable of doing on my own, I went through many therapists until I found Leslie. Leslie is extremely competent, supportive, understanding, and flexible. You won't regret working with her!
Leslie and I have a trusting and professional rapport that allows me to be more open and expressive about my daily experiences. She has an incredible way of framing my experience so that I am ready to explore every side of the narrative and take better accountability of my life. She doesn’t push. Some days I have very little to offer and that is okay. Some days we have absolute ground-breaking sessions that push me through plateaus. These sessions, big or small, are never insignificant. I’m more free, vulnerable, and happier after every session and I can’t wait to schedule another. If you’re like me, and you struck out with your first therapist, I would recommend Leslie, without reservation. She is phenomenal.
I’ve noticed a huge difference in the past two months with how I’m able to process things in my head. Recently I’ve been able to state my boundaries in a healthier manner, which is contributing significantly to my overall mental well being. So far, I’ve been having a very positive experience with Leslie’s help.
I am very grateful to have Leslie as a therapist. I feel like she truly listens to me and understands the issues I would like to work through. I really like that she incorporates optional worksheets and tasks to help me better understand myself. She asks meaningful questions that allow me to reflect and discover things about myself that I otherwise don't take the time to think about. Thank you, Leslie!
Leslie is absolutely incredible and I feel really lucky to have found her. She is warm, kind, and patient, and creates a welcoming space for you. I've felt comfortable talking with her right from the beginning. She is totally balanced in her approach, where I feel I can talk until I've said what I want to say, and then she provides her input which is always really intuitive and helpful. In our sessions, I feel she's really able to bring out the things I really need to talk about, that even I didn't know were things I needed to discuss. Truly a compassionate, skilled practitioner.
