Dr. Leslie Guditis, LMFT
About me
I am a licensed marriage and family therapist in the State of Texas, an approved MFT Supervisor in the State of Texas, and an Approved AAMFT Supervisor Candidate. I am also a personal/life coach. My master's degree is in Family Studies from Texas Woman's University, and my PhD is in Family Therapy, also from Texas Woman's University.
I see clients from anywhere in Texas, online, via a secure HIPAA-compliant website. I also teach counselor education/marriage and family therapy full-time with Capella University, and I am an adjunct instructor with Texas Woman's University.
I have experience working with individuals, couples, and families. I have worked extensively with LGBT, transgender, couples (heterosexual and same-sex), as well as with the aging population. The emphasis in my practice has been her work with couples and with transgender individuals and their families. I offer intense four-hour couples sessions, in addition to her regular one-hour sessions. I also facilitate individual, group, and couples workshops and retreats.
My primary treatment modality is Experiential Therapy, typically Emotionally Focused Therapy. I have several modalities I can use, depending on the client and what brings them to therapy. I believe the relationship I build with my clients is the driving force that helps us have a successful therapeutic relationship, regardless of the modality.
