About me

Hi! My name is Leslie Hoyt and I am a licensed clinical psychologist. I believe that therapy should be a positive experience that helps you resolve a current issue and develop skills you can use throughout your life. I'm here to listen in order to understand you and your unique situation, with the goal of working with you to journey through difficulties you are having. Seeking help is a smart decision that can help your struggles become seeds of strength and wisdom. I look forward to getting to know you and helping you to reach your goals! I'm life-affirming, whatever your lifestyle choices might be.

I have over 20 years of experience, and in that time I have been honored to have been able to help a wide variety of people reach their goals and build a life worth living. While I am comfortable and experienced with a variety of different approaches to treatment, I tend to use Mindfulness tools and interventions from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy the most often. A strong component of my clinical practice has been finding and building resiliency following traumatic experiences. I also I am very collaborative in the work that I do, meaning that I work beside you to guide you as we focus on the goals that are the most meaningful to you.

I have been providing therapy services on online platforms since 2017. Although I was initially reluctant to venture out of the traditional in-person format, I have been extremely impressed with how effective online platforms are and how quickly people are able to meet their treatment goals. I am now a strong advocate for platforms such as BetterHelp, and I believe that you will be pleased with the therapy you receive here. I look forward to meeting you!
