I am 60 year old female and I have been providing therapy for 26 years. I received my bachelor's degree in English and waited about 10 years before returning to get my Master's in Social Work. Just prior to grad school, I received a grant and started and ran a Sexual Assault/Abuse hotline and concurrent prevention program in the schools. I then completed school and worked at a mental health center for 2 years, whereupon I received my state license. I have worked in a variety of settings from my office, schools, courts, probation/police/jail offices, and hospitals, as well as receiving referrals from those sources as well as doctors, ministers, child care workers and others. I practice in a small town so have been involved in many community programs, some of which are geared to mental health. I love to work with people, hence my practice and community involvement. I believe the most important aspect of a counseling relationship to be that of building trust and rapport, as making change is often anxiety producing and needs much support and encouragement. I stay present with my clients, building that safe space to address underlying feelings and fears, and utilizing various techniques including mindfulness and cognitive behavioral techniques to move past obstacles. I have retained some clients that have continued to see me for over 10 years, on and off, as their lives have changed and other struggles presented themselves. My belief is that the relationship built with a client is an opportunity and a privilege; a client opening up about their lives is of tremendous significance and I handle each of those relationships with care. My goal is to help clients find that peace of mind and joy that eludes them when underlying issues cloud their view.

Very professional and friendly. I have confidence that Leslie will help me on this journey to a better life. Its nice having a dedicated professional who understands my concerns and is available when I need support.
Leslie is good at listening and is very nonjudgmental. Her suggestions are helpful. She is also flexible with different time-zones. I have had a good experience with her.
Very patient, supportive, and understanding. Truly touches me to meet a lady that cares so much.
I cannot imagine how I would have been able to function for the last few months without Leslie's support. PTSD, depression and anxiety have been the issues she has helped me with.
Leslie is an amazing counselor and has helped me through some of the most stressful periods of my life. She is always a kind voice to help me through my difficult emotions. I would recommend her to anyone, her suggestions and guidance have changed my life.
Leslie as a counsellor is just an amazing support, as I suffer severe mental health issues at times and have had big scary changes in my life this last year. She listens carefully, offers thought provoking advice, but often is just a kind, non-judgmental ear. There are times I don't want to talk to anyone about how I'm feeling, but I always feel better for opening up. Thank you!
Leslie is a wonderful and caring counsellor who's reliable and somehow we've managed to create a good bond over the Internet. I feel that's vital in this kind of thing and I'm new to therapy.
She's helped me with a very difficult time in my life. A few times shown me another point of view. I'm enjoying this experience.
Leslie is a wonderful counselor. She invests her time and expertise with care. She is a wonderful listener and provides meaningful feedback.
Leslie is incredibly easy to talk to and has wonderful advice. She responds quickly, and will check up on you if she hasn't heard from you in a few days. She has helped me in many aspects of my life in only a few short weeks and I am so grateful for that. I've always disliked the idea of therapy, but I feel like having the flexibility of online counseling makes it so much easier, and Leslie has been amazing.
I know I made the right choice since Leslie's many years in the field and the knowledge she has gained is shining through in her sessions with me.
What once seemed impossible prior to starting sessions with Leslie, now after only 2 weeks, seems to be definitely solvable thanks to her guidance and wisdom.
Rather than being overwhelmed, with Leslie helping us, we have LOTS of confidence that everything will once again return to perfect balance in our life.
Leslie takes my concerns into account, listens to them, and makes great suggestions. She hears me and helps me make strides forward.
Leslie has been so helpful with my issues, and she reaches out to me regularly. I have been to traditional therapy many times, and this platform is amazing. I would recommend Leslie to anyone without hesitation.

Leslie is a wonderful therapist.
Leslie was a great help to me through a very challenging time. I'd never considered counseling before, and her support through BetterHelp was exactly what I needed - thank you!
I appreciate how Leslie thoughtfully builds a knowledge base about me and my concerns. And as much as I value a listening ear, I appreciate how she shares analogies and frameworks for seeing my reactions from a new perspective.
Leslie has helped me to see the positive when I was drowning in the negative. I will look for help and guidance again I'm sure.
I am pleased with the counseling I am receiving from Leslie. She has good suggestions and strategies for coping with my situation. I would recommend her to friends.
Very caring and understanding. Listens to issues without judgement and tries to fully understand.
