About me
Hi,
I'm a marriage and family counselor and I've been practicing in California for 35 years now. I have a wide variety of experience working with individuals, couples, and families from all different sociocultural and ethnic backgrounds. I also have specialized experience in working with couples in a fast paced and solution focused way. I'm currently getting certified in Emotionally focused therapy to improve my work with couples. My theoretical orientation is client centered and humanistic but I also blend in a cognitive behavioral set of techniques whenever this is indicated. My general feeling is that clients themselves hold their own answers, and my role is to facilitate and guide clients into finding answers. I'm also trained in meditation and mindfulness, which I find to be very helpful for anxiety and depression
