About Me

Do you feel overwhelmed with anxiety, stress or depression? Are you struggling with hurts from the past, or maybe you’re feeling hopeless or like you just don’t have the “bandwidth” for everything going on in your life right now? Do you feel like you just need someone to hear you, and a safe, supportive place to talk about what’s going on? Finding a counselor can be confusing and scary, but once you take the first step, it gets so much easier! Feeling like someone is really listening to you and focusing on just you, is so important, especially these days. As a therapist and counselor, I really listen carefully to what’s going on, then I give you a totally safe, non-judgmental space to talk about it, and finally I’ll help you problem-solve in ways that are personally tailored to your particular situation. This has worked well for my clients and the outcomes have been positive.

I’ll really try to help you feel comfortable, relaxed and safe from judgement as you work with me. Together, we’ll decide on goals you want to reach that will help you feel more confident and motivated. I have over 19 years experience as a clinical therapist, and 24 in the mental health field. I have been privileged to work with hundreds of clients in treatment centers, homes, and in the counseling office. I have considerable experience and training with stress, anxiety, and depression, as well as parenting and grief/loss. I am a certified Anxiety and Stress expert, but have 20 years of experience in many different counseling areas. I served as the Clinical Director of a practice with several counselors for years, I’ve supervised and trained other counselors, and I currently run my own clinical practice.

Being accepted and understood is what most people want and need. And then they need help with real solutions that actually makes things better. I offer live chat, phone sessions and occasional video sessions weekly, mostly between the hours of 8am and 6pm on select days of the week. I also offer a few live chat sessions each week in the later evening hours or on the weekends depending on needs.
