About Me
Welcome, My name is Leslie and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Arizona. I have been working in the mental health field since 2012 and I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including grief and loss, trauma, attachment and abandonment, depression and anxiety, parenting problems, childhood trauma, and emotional and physical abuse. My counseling approach includes a combination of solution focused, person centered, Cognitive Behavioral therapy as well as trauma therapy. I believe in helping people identify and build on their strengths to help in areas where someone may be struggling. I am also trained in EMDR which is very helpful with PTSD.
I have a passion for helping people because 14 years ago counseling saved my own life. in 2006, My husband was killed in a car accident when I was still seven months pregnant with my now very active teenager. I was a young widow, I was lost and I was scared. I attended a grief camp that first year that changed everything. I learned I was not alone, as well as a several coping skills that helped me learn to live again. I immediately started volunteering at the camp and realized that by helping others, I myself was healing. Soon after I went back to school to get my Master in counseling and today it is my goal to help as many people as I can.
Taking that first step and reaching out for help is not easy and it takes a tremendous amount of courage. If you are ready to take that first step with me you will be treated with compassion and kindness.
I look forward to working with you!

I find the most benefit I have received is being able to talk to a neutral person, but one who can help guide my thinking in a more positive direction. Leslie provides that as well as monitoring my mental state and offering help.
My first appointment, all I could do was sob I was so upset. She was very patient, and was able to shift the discussion to get me to open up and feel comfortable about talking. She helped me identify that what I was feeling was normal and gave me suggestions on books to read, exercises and all have been super helpful!
Leslie allows me to talk my way through things and is receptive to feedback if I share that I might not have been heard in the way I was intending. Those qualities help me feel safe, respected, and understood.
This was my first time with therapy. Leslie made me feel very comfortable and provided a safe space for me to open up and talk about whatever was on my mind. She validated my feelings while also providing me with tools for how to deal with what was going on. Very helpful!
I've only had one live session with her so far but in that one session she helped me understand where some problems could be coming from and gave me some suggested ways to help with them while making sure I felt ready to talk about it. I already know Leslie is an amazing counselor and can help me through problems I've been living with
So far she’s been really great. I’ve felt a lot before ever since I started sharing with her.
She is an excellent therapist
Very helpful- thank you!
She is easy to share my information with and that gives me great relief. She provides me with material that definitely has helped calm me down and it allows me to start to be myself. I am thankful to have her to speak with at this time in my crisis.
