My name is Leslie Shelton, and I am a licensed professional counselor licensed in Colorado and Texas. I have a Masters from Santa Clara University in California and have been counseling for over 20 years, supporting individuals, couples, families and groups across a myriad of ages, geographies and demographics.
In addition to my Private Practice, I have worked at Stanford University Hospital in CA, Baylor Scott & White Hospital System in TX, and as a Director of Counseling at several boarding schools and young adult counseling centers in the Bay Area. My experience lies in trauma, career and education, bullying, relationships (family and romantic), anxiety, ADD/ADHD, depression, PTSD, grief and loss, sexual assault, online dating, parenting, marriage, social media, and work/life balance, among others.
I would describe my approach as integrative and holistic, while also making use of cognitive and behavioral strategies to support clients who want actionable, concrete recommendations to achieve their goals. Above all, I always ensure my approach is uniquely tailored to the individual, topic and environment, so we can evolve and adapt our strategy as needed. My schedule is very flexible, and I look forward to hopefully hearing more from you and supporting you whenever, however I can.

Leslie has been a wonderful support for me while I try and handle an emotional situation. She is always encouraging with questions in our sessions and really wants to help me come to a solution. She has been very easy to communicate with and easy to talk with during our sessions.
You have made me feel like I can talk openly about anything. I look forward to doing more work with you!
Leslie is kind and empathetic towards her patients. She is understanding and comforting. I would recommend Leslie to any other client.
Leslie is knowledgeable, professional, supportive, and easy to talk to. I’ve only had a few sessions and there’s still work to be done, but already I feel stronger and able to cope with various stressors, thanks to her abilities . I highly recommend Leslie.
