About Me

I am a clinical psychologist licensed in the state of California and have been treating clients for 6 years. I have experience with adults struggling with depression and anxiety. I also have experience working with parents on a variety of parenting issues for children of all ages.

I am compassionate and want to get to the root of my clients' problems. I am patient, thorough, and clear about treatment plans with my clients. When I meet a client for the first time, I immediately see the potential they have, and mesh that with their goals, to form a path toward freeing them to become that person we both know they can be.

If a client is open to it, I find that the root of mood problems such as anxiety and depression are found in the body and can often be alleviating by trusting our bodies to tell us about how we became depressed or anxious. I use cognitive-behavioral therapy after we have addressed the deeper issue, or if the client prefers, we go straight into learning new cognitive-behavioral approaches. I have had success with both methods.

Dr. Wright is incredibly intelligent and emotionally empathetic. She’s opened my eyes to therapy on a level I didn’t know I could and the progress has been tangible and real.

Leslie continued to reach out to help me even when I rejected help. When I couldn't put one step in front of the other she showed up. I learned about breath work and CBT through her presence and will continue to explore this for the rest of my life.... I can only imagine how difficult it is to work with people like myself, so this is how i know she is an angel. Not sure what this world would look like without people like her and the BetterHelp community.

Dr. Wright has been very helpful in my healing, and I’m so grateful I found her. She has been incredibly supportive and insightful. Through somatic breath-work sessions and CBT, we have been able to work through several difficult life changes and traumas (past and recent). She has given me some fantastic “scripts,” and new ways of setting boundaries with people in my life that have given me a new found sense of safety, confidence, and comfort. Knowing I’m communicating effectively and safely is so important to me, and I’m so grateful I can trust her knowledge, wisdom, and guidance. Thank you Dr. Wright!

Such an amazing session, Dr Wright has helped me to become a stronger more independent woman. Once afraid to speak my mind, or take a step forward, now I’m doing it with confidence! I still have so much more growing to do, but thanks to Dr Leslie Wright I actually feel like I have the strength to do it. It’s hard to explain the mentality I have vs 7 months ago when I started seeing her. There is a such a big difference of who I was then and who I am now! I was always so scared, and now I feel like I can do so much more and that I was holding myself back. I hope to keep on growing and learning more about myself and what I’m capable of. Thank you so much Dr Wright
