About me

Hello, and welcome. I’m Lessy Alexis, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over five years of experience providing compassionate, client-centered mental health care to children, adolescents, adults, and families.

I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relationship and family challenges, parenting concerns, trauma, grief, and difficulties managing everyday responsibilities. My professional experience includes outpatient therapy, crisis intervention, and care coordination, giving me a holistic perspective on emotional wellness and the many factors that influence mental health.

My therapy style is warm, collaborative, supportive, and grounded in compassion. I believe every person deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, empathy, and without judgment. I strive to create a safe and welcoming space where you can openly explore your thoughts, emotions, experiences, and faith while feeling heard and understood.

For clients who desire a Christian counseling approach, I integrate biblical wisdom and Christian faith into the therapeutic process in a way that respects your beliefs, values, and personal relationship with God. I believe faith can be an important source of hope, strength, identity, and guidance during difficult seasons. Scripture reminds us that God is near to those who are hurting (Psalm 34:18) and encourages us to seek wisdom, especially when we feel uncertain or overwhelmed (James 1:5).

My approach is rooted in trauma-informed, strengths-based, and client-centered care. I draw from evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while thoughtfully incorporating biblical principles when appropriate and desired. Together, we can explore the connection between thoughts, emotions, behaviors, relationships, and spiritual well-being. We may also incorporate practices such as prayer, Scripture reflection, gratitude, forgiveness, healthy boundaries, and developing a deeper understanding of identity and purpose through a Christian worldview.

I believe Christian counseling does not mean ignoring the challenges we experience or simply telling ourselves to “have more faith.” Rather, it can provide a space to honestly acknowledge pain while seeking God's wisdom, comfort, and strength as we work toward healing. As Philippians 4:6–7 reminds us, we can bring our worries and concerns to God while developing greater peace and emotional awareness.

Together, we will identify practical strategies to help you manage difficult emotions, overcome challenges, strengthen relationships, build resilience, and create meaningful and lasting change. We will work at a pace that honors your experiences while recognizing the strengths, values, resources, and faith that can support your growth.

Reaching out for support takes courage, and you don't have to face life's challenges alone. Whether you're navigating anxiety, healing from past experiences, adjusting to a major life transition, working through relationship or family concerns, or seeking personal and spiritual growth, I’m here to walk alongside you with compassion, professionalism, and respect.

My goal is to help you develop healthier ways of thinking and coping, strengthen your relationships, recognize your God-given strengths, and move toward greater emotional, relational, and spiritual well-being. As Proverbs 3:5–6 encourages us, we can learn to trust God while seeking wisdom and direction along the journey.

I look forward to partnering with you on your journey toward healing, growth, hope, and a deeper sense of purpose.
