About me

Hello, it's nice to meet you. One of the most important parts of therapy is that you feel comfortable with the professional you work with – that you feel like you will eventually be able to trust and open-up to them. So, let me begin by sharing a little bit about myself and how I work.

I believe I have the skills and expertise to listen and work with you in a caring partnership. As a psychologist and Clinical Social Worker (LCSW 76693), I have 11 years of experience providing clinical services in multiple settings, including private practice, schools, and intensive treatment facilities. I help people of all ages, sizes, genders, and orientations and will tailor my approach to you as an individual to honor your particular needs, circumstances, and goals.

Throughout the course of my career, my professional commitment has always been to provide safety and understanding while offering challenges that encourage growth. I utilize a strength-based approach to treatment along with unconditional positive regard for my clients, and transparent and clear communication about the process of therapy. Within this framework, those I work with examine attachment and relational dynamics, reflect on cognitive distortions and false narratives, find and acknowledge internal and external resources, and learn about behavior modifications to create lasting change.

It takes great courage to seek help and support, but as daunting as it may be, doing so shows you have enough insight to know you could use some help and encouragement in reaching your goals! Working through challenges can be difficult but it is also greatly rewarding! I strive to form relationships with my clients that are built on trust, collaboration and respect. As we work together in this way recovery, healing, and growth begins to take shape and richer, more satisfying lives and relationships become more feasible.
