About me

Dr. Lili Sanchez-Cordova received a Master of Arts Degree in Psychology from Pepperdine University and both her Doctorate of Psychology Degree and an additional Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology-Alliant International University. During the course of her graduate training, she provided individual and group psychotherapy, psychological assessment services and crisis intervention in English and Spanish in outpatient and inpatient community mental health settings. She has extensive experience providing therapeutic services to adults from diverse backgrounds addressing an array of concerns. After gaining post graduate clinical experience in non-profit community mental health, long-term skilled nursing facilities and private practice, Dr. Sanchez-Cordova, currently specializes in providing individual psychotherapy primarily with adults who are experiencing challenges in coping with depression, anxiety, personal transitions and general life stressors. As a whole, her approach to treatment is collaborative, humanistic and eclectic. She takes a compassionate and empathic stance where she is committed to tailoring treatment to meet the needs of her clients. She believes in providing an honest, safe and secure environment to allow clients to open up and be their authentic selves. Although she uses a holistic perspective in working with her clients, some of her areas of influence include but at not limited to, Mindfulness Based Interventions and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
