Liliana Quinonez , LCSW
About me
Hello, my name is Liliana Quinonez. My practice began 16 years ago but I am a life-long learner and pride myself in including the value of culture and spirituality in treatment. I have a Master in Clinical Social Work and extensive training in various areas of treatment; however, my two areas of particular interest and focus are grief and trauma. I am a trauma expert and a grief support specialist. I have certifications in various evidence-based practices for trauma. Some certifications I’ve completed are: EMDR, CPT, CBCT for PTSD, Motivational Interviewing and MAP (treatment for minors). While I am holistic in the sense that I may borrow concepts from varying philosophies, I am for the most part loyal to the Rogerian and person-centered approach. I trust that each individual has an innate resiliency and that if there is a said commitment to make your life better that you most certainly have it in you to see it through. I try to be flexible and compassionate while at the same time use appropriate cognitive challenges important to help nudge and move individuals towards the growth they seek. What I most enjoy about being a Therapist is being present to my clients’ moment of change or catharsis, aha moment, whatever you want to call it. It is truly special and am thankful to have the charge and privilege to experience someone’s personal growth.
