About Me
Welcome! I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor In North Carolina . I hold a Masters degree in Counselor Education from East Carolina University and received my state Counselor's license in 1998 while working in a correctional setting and have 22 years of counseling experience in an educational setting. I served in the U.S military for 9 years and enjoy working with veterans and military families. My approach to Counseling is an educative one. I believe in a person centered approach to counseling and meeting clients where they are. As many theoretical approaches influence counseling, I may draw from several resources and schools of thought, depending upon client needs. Counseling involves active involvement as well as a willingness and desire to make changes in your thoughts, feelings and behaviors. A counseling relationship involves working together to establish clear goals and plans to attain those goals. Most changes occur slowly, over time and require repeated efforts to be successfully implemented. It is my intent to provide you with a structured and safe setting in which to explore and examine your goals and make positive and informed choices for your life.
I am required by law to keep records. These records usually consist of written notes about our sessions. I have the utmost respect for your privacy and know that the issues we discuss are important. Any information you share with me and my records are a privilege of yours and are protected by state laws and my profession's ethical principals, with certain exceptions, as follows: suspected child abuse/neglect, suspected elder abuse, suspected dependent adult abuse, if you make a serious threat to a reasonably identified victim, if there is reasonable risk that you will kill or seriously injure yourself, if you disclose that you have committed an identifiable crime, if I am court ordered, or if you request in writing that your records be to another agency.

Only had one time with her but seems to know what she is doing
She is wonderful. Just the best.
She listens to me and helps me do better! I’m so glad I made this step and started counseling and found her!!!! It’s literally helped me so much and so has she!!!!
Thanks thus far, helpful!
Linda is fantastic. She's helping me manage my ADHD, my pandemic anxiety and my relationships and it's been so helpful. It's only been a few weeks and I see a change in how I approach situations.
Betterhelp has been an awesome experience for me. My counselor is very tentative and communicates with me through message and calls. It has worked well with my schedule and she does a good job of understanding my needs.
