I have been a licensed mental health counselor for 25 years. I have practiced individual therapy with adults, teens, and children. I also provided couples and family therapy. I have been able to help clients with a wide range of issues, including: depression, anxiety, past trauma, relationship conflict, eating disorders and addictions.
I believe the most important aspect of therapy is trust between the therapist and client. In order to build this trust, I am always honest, compassionate, and nonjudgmental. I believe a client is his or her own expert but may need help letting go of negative thought patterns and feelings of low self esteem in order to reveal this. My style of treatment includes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), exploring family dynamics, improving coping strategies, and teaching mindfulness techniques. As a certified yoga instructor and proponent of mindfulness, I encourage clients to make use of relaxation techniques.

Linda is great.
Positive in all attributes
I worked with Linda for about three months on relationship issues. She was super supportive and nonjudgmental in her approach. She listened carefully and offered gentle and helpful suggestions and feedback. I highly recommend her.
Linda is awesome. She is very flexible and accommodating for scheduling, and always makes time for our sessions. She is understanding when I miss a session, but always checks in to make sure I’m okay, and reschedules. She knows my needs. She is awesome at being supportive and giving me credit when I need it and even when I don’t think I deserve it, but she also helps me see things objectively when I might be seeing a situation in the wrong way. I would recommend Linda to all my friends who need support, kindness, and compassion when they are going through a hard time.
Linda sent me a worksheet, and seems to really understand me. I like her combination of empathy and yet practical, hands on work and exploration. We've only just begun, but am enjoying the prospect of future sessions.
