About Me

Hi and welcome to BetterHelp. What a great concept- therapy without having to leave your couch. Sign me up! My name is Lindsay Perrone, I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Texas. Over the past fifteen years in practice, I've worked with all walks of life covering topics such as anxiety, depression, postpartum concerns, self-esteem, addiction, trauma, grief, and more. My approach to therapy is relaxed, down-to-earth, kind, and ever-changing depending on the needs of each individual. The absolute most important part of therapy is the relationship between client and counselor. You must sense a connection, a vibe of sorts, to feel comfortable sharing your story and hardships. My hope is to provide that for you.

As a mother of two small children, I truly appreciate the importance of self-care. I make an effort each morning to spend 20-30 minutes alone simply drinking coffee, working out, scrolling mindlessly on the internet, or enjoying a hot shower in peace without anyone (aka children) bothering me. This helps me be a more patient mother, partner, colleague, and friend. In our society, we often put ourselves last in an effort to meet the needs of everyone else. It is not selfish to invest in yourself; it's actually quite the opposite. Counseling is a wonderful way to ensure that you're taking care of yourself. Congrats on making yourself a priority and taking this first step towards feeling better and more empowered. I look forward to talking more.

I reached out to Betterhelp at a very low point, after a year of hefty losses and changes. I didn't know what to expect and anticipated some trial and error with finding a counselor. When BH paired me with Lindsay I could tell right away they had made a good match. Lindsay is friendly and disarming, genuine and attentive, and knows when to switch gears from being supportive to being gently challenging. Her humor gelled with mine, which helped take the edge off some of the more difficult issues on my plate. I am sad that she is transitioning her practice, but I'm grateful she was the one to help me round the corner on so many obstacles. I wish her the best!
