About me
Hello! We're currently living through a very challenging time, and you've decided it's time to get some support. It's wonderful that you're taking this step to care for yourself!
I am a licensed mental health counselor with more than five years' experience. Much of my work here on BetterHelp has been with individuals in their 20s and 30s. I also have significant experience working with college students. I have expertise partnering with clients to address their stress, anxiety, depression, and relationship concerns. I also have a background in substance use counseling and can work with you to explore your current use and how it might be impacting your well-being.
In addition to being a fully licensed counselor, I am also in school working toward becoming a professor of counseling. Through my coursework, research, and interactions with counselors-in-training, I am constantly thinking about how counselors can do their best work for their clients. I bring that spirit to my work at BetterHelp. I keep my caseload small and focus on providing personalized, high-quality services.
My main approach to counseling is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). This means we'll spend time together identifying what you value most, planning steps that keep you moving in the direction of those values, and developing strategies to deal with roadblocks along the way like self-doubt, low motivation, and anxious feelings.
As a counselor, I value having a warm relationship with clients. I believe that you are the expert on your life, and that the expertise you have on your history, challenges, and strengths is just as important as what I bring to our work.
If you're interested in working together toward a life that's meaningful for you, let's get started!

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Lindsay Woodbridge. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
I am so thankful that I found Lindsay. I tried in-person therapy and better help therapy multiple times before but kept getting discouraged because I never found a therapist that quite fit what I needed and made me feel comfortable. After such a long time searching, I finally found that in Lindsay. She is the first therapist I have had that I have felt completely comfortable being 100% honest with, and she pushes me to think things through and gives me usable tools to deal with the stressors that affect my life. She is kind, approachable, and extremely empathetic. I always feel like a weight is lifted off of my shoulders and I can take a deep breath after our sessions. Lindsay will not judge you and she really brings a positive light to some really crappy things that happen in life and with mental/behavioral struggles.

I've only been talking to Lindsay for a couple weeks, but I already feel like I have learned a lot about myself, my partner, and my relationship. I feel like she really empathizes with me, and understands what I'm trying to accomplish. I've never experienced therapy before, so I wasn't sure what to expect, or what to say, but she asks me questions that help me open up, and offers suggestions and ideas to use in real life. She's met and exceeded my expectations so far.

Lindsay has been amazing so far and I have only been speaking with her for two weeks. I had tried counseling one other time in the past but didn't have a good experience in that I didn't really feel like I left my appointments with the tools needed to make changes in my life. Lindsay has been a big help to me and has already worked to coach me through issues weighing on me in my marriage and during my first pregnancy. I would highly recommend her and have already recommended the site to a friend due to my amazing experience here so far.
