About me

I am a Clinical Social Worker with over 14 years of experience in intensive mental health case management, child abuse investigations and treatment, and individual and group therapy. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, PTSD, career challenges, LGBTQ, OCD and ADHD. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.

I have found that many of the areas in mental health are interconnected and that a change in one will influence a change in others. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. I strongly believe that maintaining positive mental health is work! I frequently assign homework so that you are able to focus on your progress daily despite whether we formally meet or not. My goal is that you gain the skills to no longer need my assistance at all to identify and correct problematic thinking and emotional response. You may not always like what I say, and that is PERFECT! Growth and change can be uncomfortable and that discomfort signifies that we are pushing you in the right direction in a controlled and supportive manner. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, solution focused and rational-emotive counseling. I take a holistic approach to mental health paying close attention to the interconnectedness of the body, mind and spirit, and tailors therapy to fit the unique needs of every client.

It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.

I look forward to working with you!

Lindsey is so supportive. She listens and responds well while still cheering me on to continue my own growth. She provides tools to continue working on myself and learning how to turn negative thoughts into positive ones. I feel comfortable talking to her about things that I normally wouldn't tell people and saying them without judgement.
