About Me

I want to say how amazing I think it is that you are taking the first step toward making a meaningful and important change in your life. Finding the right person to walk with you through this journey can be challenging, and I hope I can help you make that decision a little bit easier.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California, and I work with clients to help them identify and challenge the limiting beliefs we often unknowingly operate from. I have worked for many years in outpatient community mental health agencies. I have experience in working with a wide range of concerns and mental health issues, but a few examples are trauma, anger, stress, ADHD, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, grief/loss, parenting concerns, and life changes.

Showing compassion, acceptance and understanding are very important tools in communicating with you, and helping you work through the thoughts and feelings that have brought you here. My counseling approach ranges from client-centered, cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavior, solutions focused, motivational interviewing, and trauma focused cognitive behavioral. However, I focus on the client and tailor what is necessary to help you accomplish your goals in therapy. I provide a safe, non-judgmental, accepting environment in which we can explore these patterns and create new, non-limiting beliefs. I view my role as a therapist to be a warm and authentic presence, fully accepting each client as they are, while challenging them, at their own pace, to identify their patterns and beliefs.

Lindsey was am absolute pleasure to have help me put. I was going through some tough things in life and she gave me some really helpful advice and ways to cope. I feel that her sessions were a great experience especially since it was my first time ever getting counseling. Lindsey is the bomb m-dot-com! She has helped me get through what was troubling me with ease and making my first go around with therapy a breeze. She knows what she is doing and is very encouraging. Never did she come off as judge mental! I may be a lucky one cause Lindsey was my first matched counselor. Stuck with her till the end! She rules!

I’ve spoken to about a handful of therapists. None of them have had the capacity to handle my situation sadly :( I was beginning to lose hope. Until I met with Lindsey ! She’s been upfront about my recovery needing a lot of work, which I appreciate the honesty. but she has not shied away, checked out, or disengaged one bit. She dug right in from day one. She has helped me with insight, suggestions, and most importantly validation for the things I’ve been feeling. She’s a proactive listener, really laid back, provides a comforting environment. She’s really patient and understanding but also commands respect in the way she carries herself. I just love it. I love our working relationship. It’s a breath of fresh air. I never thought I would meet a therapist that wasn’t overwhelmed to take me on... or at least one that didn’t make me feel like I was too much. You can tell she has a passion for what she does. And I’m so thankful for that because it translates in our sessions. The quality and value she provides is evident in our conversations. Never letting her go ! Lol

Lindsey is calm and encouraging. I can tell she is focused in our session and listening to what I have to say. She gives me positive feedback. She understands that I can often discover/process/learn about myself just by talking about what I am going through. She provides feedback at appropriate times. She is very personable. I feel like she likes me and isn’t judging me (which I understand the latter can be a projection), but I feel safe and supported. I trust her implicitly.
