Lindsey Pate, LPC
About me
Hello and welcome! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas, wife, and Mom. I have been working in the counseling setting sense 2011 and am passionate about helping people! I believe counseling is a journey of introspection, discovery, hope, and healing. I focus on helping people find support and encouragement, learn empowering and helpful tools and strategies, and discover new beginnings as they seek answers to the problems and struggles they encounter on their journey.
I believe in a total wellness approach which includes the spiritual, mental, physical, and relational needs we all have. I have worked in many counseling settings and have led support groups such as divorce care, anger management, and boundaries, as well as various cognitive behavioral therapy groups. I have worked with adults and teenagers in the areas of marriage/couples therapy, women's issues, mood/anxiety disorders, and addiction/recovery. Specific topics include: self-worth, codependency, forgiveness, conflict resolution, shame, abuse, grief, anger, and stress. My counseling theory is eclectic including Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) and developing a strong therapeutic relationship founded in trust and unconditional positive regard. My approach is hope focused, grace filled, and goal centered.
I want you to know that I am very excited to have the opportunity to work with you! I know it can be difficult to reach out for help and be open and honest, but I hope you soon find it to be so very helpful and productive as you seek positive change, growth and new beginnings for a more fulfilling life.
