I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a specialization in working with children, adolescents, and families. I graduated with my Masters of Arts in Professional Counseling from Texas State University in San Marcos. I am trained in CPR-T (Child Parent Relationship Therapy), Solution Focused, and CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). While I work with a variety of individuals, my experience includes work around issues related to attachment, foster care, adoption, anxiety, self-esteem. Ultimately, my belief is that all positive change begins with the relationship. I am here to support you as an individual and/or your child with the issues that are surfacing. One of the great counseling myths is that counseling is only for people with "issues". This is untrue as counseling can help anyone reach their greatest potential and become the best version of ourselves.

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Lindsey Stockton. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
I've been seeing Lindsey for over a year now and have grown so much in that time. She is patient, knowledgeable, and challenges me (which I have a love/hate relationship with, haha).
I have loved my time so far with Lindsey. She is calm, caring, even funny at times! She picks up on the little things, and helps me work on the big things too. She offers valuable insights and helps me process my thoughts and patterns to help me grow as a person. Her help with anxiety issues and overcoming past situations has been valuable to me and I am thankful to have found her.
I feel like with Lindsey, I’m moving in a direction of coping with some really difficult things and also unlocking my best self. She is great.
Lindsey has such great energy. She is reassuring and kind. Topics I associated with great shame were addressed without judgment. She pays attention to what you say and helps bring it full circle with the other issues you identify as wanting to address in therapy. I especially appreciated her flexibility since my busy schedule was one of the things that made me put off starting therapy. She has helped me change my life.
She has helped me alot so far. Has helped me see thing in a different light from before, Mostly red when I got angry.
Lindsey is freaking awesome. The pain and loneliness I have carried for most of my life has been crushingly heavy, and until I started working with Lindsey, I thought it would be with me forever. She helped me change all of that for the better. In six months, she helped me learn how to forgive myself and those I blame, heal old wounds, handle anxious thought patterns and my inner critic, and so much more. I have never felt this level of peace and authenticity before. Lindsey respected the pace at which I wanted to work, never pushed issues (and somehow I found eventually I could talk about anything), gave great journal challenges and worksheets and book recommendations, and IS A NIGHT OWL.
100000/10, I'm always recommending to friends. Lindsey changed my life
Lindsey is amazing. She's sweet and caring and so helpful. Every session I have been in with her has been helpful and productive. She's helped me make so much progress and I am so grateful!!
Honestly the best listener and totally no judgements!! She really does know what she’s talking about and tries to recommend various ways to help with whatever you’re going through. She really helped me even with some things I didn’t even know I needed!
I’ve recommended BetterHelp and Lindsey to four people because I believe wholeheartedly in the work we are accomplishing together. This is important and valued work that has already made a huge difference in feeling grounded in this turbulent world and helping me keep a healthy perspective and getting some very tangible skills of communication that had become rusty.
She’s given me some great suggestions for resources.
I've only done one session with Lindsey but I am happy with where we're starting. She has a good feel for understanding where people are, and what their goals/needs are. The video didn't work and it ended up being a phone call but she wasn't frustrated and handled the situation very well. She has done additional training for CBT for anger management, depression, and anxiety, and that was what I was looking for. I would highly recommend her if you are focused on action and concrete steps you can take.
Lindsey is very personable and caring. She makes me feel so comfortable to talk with her and to share my concerns. I was nervous at first just not knowing what to expect but after our first chat session I could tell she is the counselor for me. I feel listened to and not judged. I can tell she is going to help me get through my concerns and help me reach my goals.
Working with Lindsey is great. She is very professional, knowledgeable and full of resources - the best part is I really can trust and open up with out shame. She's not just a resourceful therapist, she's a great listener and communicator. Eleven stars.
Great listener. She takes the time to listen to understand the problem and then help you. Good sense of humor too as a plus.
She is awesome!!! Lindsey really truly listens to you, and what’s awesome too she’s also a night owl, so when the stress of the day floods though at and you can’t sleep at night she’s there for you! She’s so nice and supportive! Great councilor!
Lindsey is a wonderfully helpful and upbeat listener! She hears me and then asks questions that help me see myself and my situations more clearly.
Lindsey Stockton has always responded to my journal entries, my questions, my worksheets, and all other communication in a very timely manner. She really focuses on my progress no matter how big or small it is. In our communications she always comments back to me making sure she is understanding what I am trying to convey to her. I feel like she is genuinely interested in my progress.
It took a bit of time to really get used to the service, but I think Lindsey is taking very well to having me here and learning how to construct productive points to work on. Lindsey has directed me to some helpful thought exercises in the form of worksheets that has already helped me explore some of the realm in my mind that I keep sort of locked away. She's very patient and understanding, as well as exploratory. A comment doesn't go by unnoticed with Lindsey wanting to flesh it out, haha.
