Lindsey Stockton

About Me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a specialization in working with children, adolescents, and families. I hold a Bachelors Degree and I graduated with my Masters of Arts in Professional Counseling from Texas State University in San Marcos. I am trained in CPR-T (Child Parent Relationship Therapy), Solution Focused, and CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). While I work with a variety of individuals, my experience includes work around issues related to attachment, foster care, adoption, anxiety, self-esteem. Ultimately, my belief is that all positive change begins with the relationship. I am here to support you as an individual and/or your child with the issues that are surfacing. One of the great counseling myths is that it is only for people that have something "wrong". This is untrue as counseling can help us reach our greatest potential and become the best version of ourselves.

Lindsey is a wonderfully helpful and upbeat listener! She hears me and then asks questions that help me see myself and my situations more clearly.

Lindsey Stockton has always responded to my journal entries, my questions, my worksheets, and all other communication in a very timely manner. She really focuses on my progress no matter how big or small it is. In our communications she always comments back to me making sure she is understanding what I am trying to convey to her. I feel like she is genuinely interested in my progress.

It took a bit of time to really get used to the service, but I think Lindsey is taking very well to having me here and learning how to construct productive points to work on. Lindsey has directed me to some helpful thought exercises in the form of worksheets that has already helped me explore some of the realm in my mind that I keep sort of locked away. She's very patient and understanding, as well as exploratory. A comment doesn't go by unnoticed with Lindsey wanting to flesh it out, haha.
