Hello! Sometimes we all need a sounding board to help us navigate those difficult storms in our lives. Have you ever wondered," how will I move forward? What should I do next? I know what I’m supposed to be doing but I just can’t? I feel paralyzed by uncertainty or fear." It might be that you are at your wits end in a relationship, have experienced a loss, or have unresolved trauma or resentment. If any of these sound familiar to you, I can help!
We can work together to help you identify your strengths, while implementing new tools to help you gain confidence, reduce stress, and move past barriers that have kept you from living your best life and reaching your goals. I use various strategies including cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing to help guide you through your change process. Also, I am always working to improve my skill set.
I have a master's degree in social work from Concord University and am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). My previous work has included mental health and substance use therapy as well as group therapy for substance use. I have also worked with individuals in crisis, grief, the veteran population, and many women. I have a special interest and have spent a great deal of time learning about the effects of trauma and its impact on mental health. I’m looking forward to an upcoming training to start the process of becoming certified in EMDR therapy.
Beyond my professional life, I have a passion for art and nature. Painting, drawing, hiking, kayaking, and listening to music are some of my favorite activities. I raised two young men as a single mom, and I am now traveling the United States (in an RV), with my husband, who is a traveling nurse. I know what it is like to face significant challenges in life and overcome them. I also believe my personal experiences in life have enhanced my ability to help others. If you think that we would be a good fit, I would love to work with you!

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Lisa Lacy. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
I am grateful to have found Lisa as she identifies and allows for me to address my issues providing me with support and tools!! She is always prompt , listens to me and is extremely respectful. She is professional and compassionate!
So glad for the help I have received from Lisa Lacy. She is a good listener and very understanding.
Mrs. Lisa immediately made me feel heard and seen and took so much unease/discomfort away from me that I felt while starting the therapy process for the first time. She takes time to listen and really help me reflect on the thoughts and words I tell myself. I appreciate the support I’ve been given and look forward to continuing with her
Lisa is a wonderful person and has opened my eyes to the actual reality vs what I've allowed myself to see.
She is patient and kind, but also great at directing me to the bottom line vs all the distractions.
Lisa is the first therapist I have truly connected with on my path to healing.
I recommend Lisa Lacy to anyone who needs a good listener and is ready for the hard work it takes to repair past damages and heal.
I appreciate all Lisa has and continues to work on with me!
Lisa is great and empathic! I feel safe having her as my therapist.
