About Me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who has been in the helping profession for over 14 years. I can't imagine doing anything more rewarding than what I do. My philosophy is very simple. "We are all in this together!"

I took a nontraditional route through my younger years. This allowed me to experience life in ways that I believe make me a good therapist. Life isn't always easy, or even kind. That is why I feel therapy is such a valuable thing to offer. I cannot imagine life without my work as a therapist.

I have had the pleasure of working in a practice for the last 14 years with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, nurses, and clinicians. The perspectives from each of these professionals has provided me with a multidimensional view of the helping profession. I value my time with these professionals.

My approach to therapy is focussed on building a realtionship. It is within the therapeutic relationship that all of my skills and knowledge fit in best. I have extensive training and experience in trauma informed therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, supportive therapy, and motivational interviewing. I have years of expereince treating anxiety disorders, depression, PTSD, and self esteem issues. I also have expereince with sorting out complicated relationships, whether they are personal, romantic, or professional. I can teach individualized skills to cope, and to improve quatilty of life. I would love the opportunity to help you!

We are all in this world togther. Life without meaningful connections with others that understand what we are, or have been going through can make all the difference in the world. I would love to show you how to live a meaningful and happy life.

I look forward to hearing from you soon!

She's awesome! Made me comfortable from the start. She has a bubbly personality. She checks on me which I find is very comforting to me knowing she's thinking of me and is concerned. Highly recommend Lisa!

Getting help is not easy especially if you are an over thinker like me (is she judging me?, is she laughing?, do I sound crazy?). Before getting counseling I thought long and hard. Still on my first session I was skeptical I was like “whatever if it doesn’t feel right I’ll just cancel”. But Lisa made me feel comfortable, like a friend, I’ve open up to her honestly like I haven’t before and in just two weeks I could see changes in myself. Therapy /counseling may not be for everybody but if you’ve made the choice to get help. This is your girl!! Thank you better help but most importantly thank you Lisa!
