About me

Hello and thanks for checking out Better Help, I welcome the opportunity to work alongside you and help you feel better.

It takes courage to look for a therapist, I've been in your shoes and I hope you find a great match.

I have been an LCSW for over 20 years working as a therapist and life coach. I have worked with many individuals, families and couples. I graduated in 1997, from Smith College School for Social Work. I also graduated from The Life Coach School in 2020. I have worked with many challenging issues including anxiety, depression, grief/loss, trauma, abuse, family and marriage issues, LBGTQ, caregiver burnout, PTSD, COVID, the list goes on.

I am direct, compassionate and sometimes a bit sassy. I help you to remember what you already know inside while also teaching new skills to help you cope and make life more manageable.

I live in Denver and when I am not working I enjoy being outside, paddle boarding, doing yoga, reading and being with friends and family. I wish you well on your journey and look forward to chatting with you soon. Take care and be well.

Lisa continues to guide me towards a healthier way of processing life's challenges. I feel less shame and more confidence living in this sometimes not so nice world after chatting with Lisa.

Lisa really makes me feel comfortable with sharing what has happened in the past, present, and how to look towards my future. She's kind, considerate, even messages me every night before our meetings which both reminds me as well as lets me know she sees me as an individual and not just a patient. I truly appreciate all the help she has given me, from the bottom of my heart.

Very helpful, absolutely wonderful

Being new to therapy I was unsure of what to expect. Lisa took time with me during our first session to get to know everything about me. After that she was very flexible in diving into whatever I needed to discuss during future appointments. My schedule can be demanding though she always finds time to meet when I need it. She challenges me when necessary and helps to validate any emotions I may be feeling. I would recommend her as a therapist to any of my family, friends, or patients.

Lisa has been here for me more times than I can count. Her sharp awareness, kind heart, intuitive nature and, when needed, tough love approach couldn't have been a better match for me. I have made strides in my journey because of her guidance and ability to help me see things from a healthier and far more open minded perspective. I hope everyone finds their Lisa; I know I am beyond grateful for all she has walked with me through.
