Hi - I am a Colorado based licensed clinical social worker. I have worked in the mental health field for over a decade and specifically as a psychotherapist for the last 6 years. I have worked a great deal with clients looking to promote long term behavioral change in their lives and I believe that successful long term change can be prompted by a commitment to seeking and using personal insight. I primarily provide career counseling, financial therapy, and therapy for anxiety based issues.
My counseling style interactive and compassionate, but I won't shy away from giving feedback or challenging a client to consider new perspectives. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach is primarily cognitive-behavioral, with some psychodynamic and motivational interviewing components mixed in. I believe that it is important for clients to have an active role in determining the style of their therapy and identification of their specific treatment goals.
