Lisa Patterson, LMHC
About me
Counseling is not about fixing you because are not broken. Counseling is about self-discovery and learning to use your strengths to help you get where you want to be. The first step toward getting somewhere different is to decide that you are not going to stay where you are.
I am a licensed counselor with over 20 years of experience as a counselor working with individuals struggling with issues such as depression, stress, anxiety, career concerns, relationship, parenting and LGBT issues. I have also helped many adult survivors of past abuse learn to overcome some of the long term affects of past experiences.
My counseling approach is that I'm down to earth, respectful, supportive, and non judgmental. I believe in accepting a person at where they are in life and exploring where they want to be and how they can get there. We can do this by identifying and maximizing the strengths you have now. I know that every individual is unique and there is not a "one mold fits all" approach to counseling so our treatment plan will be tailored to your unique needs and goals, one step at a time, at a pace you are comfortable with.
It takes more courage to ask for help than it is to go it alone. I'm looking forward to working with you and I'm glad you have taken the first step to make the positive changes in your life that you are wanting.
What are you ready to change in your life?

Really good help to get here with Lisa and I strongly recommend anyone with something on their mind to share them with Lisa. This is probably the easiest way to get help and just this month with Lisa made me a new person. :)

Lisa was great at working on the issues I needed to discuss at first contact, and through further conversation was able to give me advice on things that needed further development or help that could be long lasting and not just short term. I felt comfortable pretty quickly through our non-judgemental discussions, and she was always willing to speak about things that had been bothering me, replying with friendly messages. It has definitely been a positive experience.
