“Worried” or "Overwhelmed." Do either or these words enter your mind when thinking about an important relationship in your life-like your partner, child, family, or friend? Or maybe it's your job or something that happened in the past that you just can't get over and move on from, like a trauma. Many people often feel bad about themselves and have a lowered sense of self-esteem as a result. Do you want to fix things but don’t know how? When things are off in our lives, we can have increased anxiety, stress, and even depression. Whether it’s resolving past or current issues, I understand how hard it is. I have help many clients work through their problems and find resolution leading to happier sense of self and satisfaction in life.
I have worked with clients from a wide array of backgrounds on many issues including trauma, anxiety, depression, and couple and family issues. I’ve also served as a clinical supervisor to a team of counselors in a community-based program. I have been honored to have helped so many people. I conceptualize therapy from a Narrative perspective. This mean that I view life as a book in progress, and though clients may struggle with some chapters which have caused them pain, I believe we can work together to create a preferred and positive future. I am trained in Brief Therapy strategies and often use a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused, and Mindfulness techniques.
Interested in learning a little more about me? Ok then! Firstly, I never recommend a strategy to a client that I myself have not tried. I am a firm believer and supporter of self-care and make it a point to take care of myself so I can be present to help others. Some of the ways I do this are meditation, yoga, walking, journaling, and even some CBT strategies like deep breathing and thought stopping. For me, mindfulness is not just about being in the present but living a life every day that makes it possible for one to actually BE present. That may mean many things to people. For some, it might mean having a career you're passionate about, working hours that allow you free-time to do various activities, spending time with your friends or family-the list goes on. I believe counseling can be a great strategy for creating a mindful life! Yet, one thing that often stops so many of us from achieving this is time. We only have so much time for everything in a day. Getting in your car and going through the hassle of traffic can be frustrating and discouraging, reducing the chance of sticking with it. This is why I have chosen to provide online counseling services-to break that barrier so you can work on you with one less thing to worry about!

Lisa is amazing! I would highly recommend her. She is very understanding, and has great resources and tip for anxiety. I wish she lived closer for in person therapy services! She is very flexible with her schedule and responds to messages quickly!
I can’t say enough good things about her.
So far Lisa has been a great help. She has given me time and respect in regards to becoming comfortable with needing help and recognizing how much and where. If anything, I haven’t been as consistent as I should and can be so that is something I am working on too.
Thoughtful, engaged and offers a wide variety of solutions. I’m thoroughly enjoying my sessions and find each more helpful than the last.
