Lissette Soto

About Me

I'm Lissette. I am a Licensed Social Worker in the states of Connecticut and Massachusetts. I have been working in the mental health field since 2007, knowing that this was what I was meant to do since the age of 16. I have worked with those diagnosed with severe mental illness to those who might be experiencing the baby blues. Every one is different, therefore, treatment is always tailored to the individual. One strength I have is being exposed to different clients in different clinical settings, having a great knowledge of resources that assist me in being able to further provide specialized treatment. This includes clients that might experience debilitating medical issues and/or chronic pain.

I very much enjoy utilizing methods of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing (CBT-MI), which I have found to be amenable to many situations. I enjoy empowering my clients by exploring negative thought patterns and finding ways to minimize/eliminate them. I tend to have a high energy level and enjoy utilizing humor, when appropriate.

Whether one might be feeling lonely, sad, confused, anxious, whatever that reason is, let's discuss this. I'm open to any questions you might have.

Fun Fact - I have played Roller Derby for six years!
