About me

By reaching out for help, you have taken the first step towards a happier and healthier future. Emotional healing begins by sharing your story -- I know this from my own personal journey. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Missouri with 4 years of experience working as a psychotherapist in private practice. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, eating disorders, relationship issues, and codependency.

To foster a warm, comfortable setting for my clients, I employ a compassionate, non-judgmental approach that offers a relaxed environment for therapy. I believe in treating everyone with respect and sensitivity, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, choice-theory and rational-emotive counseling. I will tailor our communication and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs, concerns, and goals.

It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.

I look forward to helping you on your way towards personal growth and emotional well-being!

Liz is always very flexible and exceptionally understanding. Every time I have something I think is going to throw her, she responds with kindness and understanding. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

I have been a patient of Liz Fuhro's for a few months now & she has been amazing. She lets me take things as I need to with everything & has given me a fresh pair of eyes on a lot of things that have ended up helping me tremendously. I am very happy & very satisfied with her skills & abilities & how well she's done.

Liz is an amazing counselor! She is non-judgmental and respects my views and opinions. We've only had a few sessions but I feel very comfortable talking with her and am confident that she will help me with issues that I've needed to address for a very long time. She has taken the time to get to know me and my situation and has celebrated small victories with me, and that means a lot!

Good rapport in spite of no face to face contact. Compassionate, but direct.
