About me
Great! Reaching out for support is a sign of strength.
I am a strong believer that every person already holds the key to improving their own life. They sometimes just need a trained listener to bring that inherent wisdom to the forefront. My personal joy and the reason I’m a therapist is that I enjoy people and I love to see clients grow, feel happier and develop confidence. I also believe that therapy should be short term and my goal is to work to put myself out of a job.
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. We specialize in relationships. I have more than 25 years of experience in private practice working with depressed individuals, couples and adolescents. In addition, I have been a supervisor and trainer of therapist interns. I was Senior Clinical Supervisor at an agency working with severe trauma as well as VP of clinical services at an agency working to promote the healing for those recovering from physical abuse.
My approach to therapy is evidence based, solution focused cognitive behavioral therapy. That sounds complex but it means that our thoughts, beliefs and feelings link to our behaviors and positive changes come from exploring the connections.
I would love to partner with you to provide you with some support and to provide you with tools for positive change you seek.

I love Lola, she's great. I like that even in-between sessions she checks up on me to check if I'm doing ok
