About me

Hello! I have been a Counselor for more than 18 years in Illinois and have experience working with people from all different backgrounds who are struggling with a wide variety of challenges. Much of my experience has been working with people who are struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, and life transition issues. As an Army Veteran, I understand the impact trauma and change can have on one’s life.

My goal is to provide a nonjudgmental, caring environment that allows individuals to be open about the issues/areas they would like to change. I am very direct and open with clients to allow them the opportunity to be who they are.

I can interact with you in whatever manner you are most comfortable. I am available to you via video, phone and text depending on what is most comfortable for you. I check my messages daily and am available to provide care afternoons, evenings, and some weekends.

Great listener, personable, and in a few short sessions, and though I am a work-in-progress, she has already helped me out tremendously!

I have worked with Lora for 3 months, focusing on recovering from my PTSD and managing anxiety. She's helped me tremendously - from a person who had almost given up, I have managed to transition into a person I like and feel good about.

Lora is a very caring counselor, one that holds your hand through the worst experiences and makes you smile at the end of each session. Through her flexible and comprehensive approach, she made it possible for me to function every day and deal with new challenges in the future. Her professionalism, paired with her warmth and engagement makes her a unique therapist. She gives you hope, encourages you, teaches you, and shows you that you're capable of more than you give yourself credit for. I am grateful for having met and worked with Lora.
