I am a licensed clinician in the states of IL and FL. I have over 10 years of experience working as a counselor and university professor. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting difficulties, trauma, OCD, and ADHD. I also have a PhD in International Psychology with a trauma focus, so I understand and apply culturally competent techniques to all of my client interactions. In addition, my master's degree is from a seminary so I can also provide faith-based counseling as needed.
My counseling style is engaging and kind. I believe in treating all people with dignity and compassion . My approach combines Rogerian, Solution-Focused, and Trauma-Focused CBT. I also use Narrative theory and Motivational Interviewing as appropriate. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.
I look forward to working with you!

Lora has been an amazing mentor and coach. She is very supportive and positive and has guided me through a very difficult time in my life. She has provided essential tools that I will be utilizing for the rest of my life. I am very lucky to have been paired with her and continue to enjoy working with her. Thanks for everything Lora!
She is fantastic and never gets frustrated with my issues! She always offers solutions and different exercises to combat my struggles.
Dr. Erickson has always been extremely helpful and kind, identifying when things are normal or not normal and being able to help me process things differently so I can see many sides to an issue.
