About me

Hi there, thank you for clicking on me, I know finding a good therapist and fit is a big part of the challenge! I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of California since 2001.

I am accepting clients who reside in the state of California due to licensing restrictions.
***Due to conflict of interest as I am also employed by Kaiser Permanente, I can not see those who have Kaiser Permanente Insurance.

My hours of availability will be evenings after the regular workday, as I have a full time job. Please contact me with scheduling a session.

I have been in the mental health field since 1994. I received my bachelors of science in Human Development and Applied Developmental Psychology in 1995 from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. I received my Masters of Social Work with a focus on mental health in 1997 from CSU Stanislaus.

In my career, I have a variety of experiences and expertise that have brought me to who I am today. For four years after my masters degree, I focused on counseling with adults, couples, families and children Areas of focus includes depression, anxiety, anger management, domestic violence. I then began my private practice in 2003 and continued on this path also assisting victims of crime and EAP ( employee assistance program) for major corporations. I have also worked in a hospital setting and have facilitated support groups for patients with chronic conditions including cancer as well as support groups for caregivers. I have been in the medical setting now since 2008, providing counseling support for individuals, couples and families as well as training and facilitation for critical incident debriefing for first responders.

My goal for our time is that you feel listened to and understood. I use a strengths based approach and want to learn from you to understand where you are and where you would like to be. I tend to be logical and like to maintain some structure and check in so see if you feel if things are helping or not.

My favorite quote is " fall down seven times, stand up eight." I would be honored to be a support and part of your journey towards improving your quality of life.
