Dr. Lorena Fulton, LCSW
About me
Hello! My name is Dr. Lorena Fulton.
At some point in our life, we all find a need for a professional social worker. Whether you find yourself in a difficult relationship and need help fixing it or if your quality of life is not what you expected and want help to improve it, a Master’s level social work can help. If you feel stuck and want expert guidance that will help you move forward, reach out to me and we’ll figure it out.
I earned my bachelor’s degree at the University of Wyoming, my master's degree at the University of Denver in Colorado, and my doctorate degree at Capella University. All three degrees are in Social Work. After completing my undergraduate degree, I began working with adults with developmental disabilities. Since earning my master's degree, I have worked in both public and private schools (with elementary and high school students), with domestic violence issues, with adults and adolescents in the correctional system, in community mental health as a therapist, with EAP, and more. I have served as a clinician, a clinical supervisor and an agency director.
I enjoy serving in my Church, walking, gardening, raising chickens (:)), and spending time with my family. I am looking forward to getting to know you as we work together in this online journey of growing and learning.
I have served as a generalist clinical social worker (Master's degree level) since 1993 and have vast experience with diverse populations and personal challenges. My strengths are compassion, patience, and focus on improved outcomes for individuals and families. I am primarily grounded in theory based on the ecological systems model, strengths-based theory, and a quality of life approach.
Welcome to my practice!

Dr. Fulton is a warm and empathic counselor. I have enjoyed every session I had with her. Even when I come into the session not feeling that good, I always come away at the end of the session happy and full of hope. She helped me see the direction that I should go in my life. Thank you Dr. Fulton.

Dr. Fulton has been such a kind counsellor. She has listened to me and made me feel important even when I was anxious and unsure about how to talk about things. She has been an amazing support and I don't know what I would have done without her help the last few months. She is such a positive and loving light.

Dr. Fulton was the perfect counselor for me. Her approach is very nurturing and inclusive of both holistic approaches as well as knowledge of medical intervention that could be effective. I have absolutely found an incredible amount of success working with Dr. Fulton and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for support in their personal or professional lives.
