About Me

Congratulations on taking the first step towards reaching your goals and feeling better! This step is often the most difficult and I commend you this important decision. Choosing a therapist to help you is a personal decision. Below is some information about me to help you decide if we might be a good match.

I earned my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at the University of Miami and have remained in South Florida where I and my husband raised our three adult children. For the past 25 years, I helped clients in my private practice to improve their interpersonal relationships, overcome life's stresses and transitions and feel less depressed and anxious. Generally I use Cognitive Behavioral Strategies, along with supportive therapy and Positive Psychology approaches to set and reach goals. I view therapy as a partnership where we work together. I also believe that healthy sleep, nutrition and exercise habits impact mental health, so I will likely explore how those areas may be affecting you.

If setting goals and having an accountability partner in reaching these goals resonates with you, I would welcome the opportunity to work together.

I'm so grateful to have found Dr. Ben-Ezra. She's a great listener, is able to spot problem areas quickly, and provides simple, non-complicated advice/things to work (regarding those problem spots) on until our next meeting.

Thank You!

Dr. Ben-Ezra is extremely knowledgeable and was a big help to me. As a mental health professional seeking out my own services, she was very helpful. She is a great listener and provides practical ways to manage anxiety. I would definitely go back to her again.

Dr. Ben-Ezra has been an amazing resource so far. She makes the process of therapy so much more enjoyable than it has been for me in the past.

Dr. Ben-Ezra has been a tremendous help to my physical, emotional, spiritual well being. We constantly keep coming up with new ideas to better myself. She comes with ideas / perspectives to think about where I can get another viewpoint which I can carry throughout my time. She isn't pushy and only wants to talk about what I'm comfortable with. The fact that she is always available is SOOO important to me. The fact that we can chat at anytime makes me feel comfortable about being honest with my feelings at the time I'm feeling them. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Ben-Ezra if you are looking for someone to be human advisor rather than a therapist.
