As your therapist, I will guide you toward developing your own unique, healthy coping strategies without feeling ashamed for doing something to take care of yourself. While I understand the difficulties of asking another for help, I also know the immeasurable benefits and sense of empowerment that comes from facing life's obstacles head on and working toward solutions. I am here to help you find your way to those solutions. Whether you are faced with anxiety on a daily basis or have trouble managing your anger, together we can find strategies that will work for you.
I treat most mental health issues including anxiety, trauma and addictions, including substance abuse. I also treat families and couples. I have noticed that more often than not there are overlapping issues that sometimes stem from a core event whether in the family or individual situation.
I enjoy first getting to know my client and using an eclectic approach to therapy while following my client's lead. Whether using Cognitive Behavior Therapy, DBT, Rogerian, Imago or a different modality, the goal is the same for all-- to help them continually strive to become the best version of themselves.
