Lorraine Storm, LPC
About me
In times of distress, it is natural to seek a guide, teacher, or healer, and a therapist can be all of these things. I take a strength-oriented, holistic approach to counseling and wellness, and I take an active role in interventions. I provide a non-judgmental, supportive environment to empower you to become your best and highest functioning self. My approach is to provide actionable steps aimed at short term symptom relief as well as a safe space for deeper processing. I often use cognitive behavioral therapy, attachment theory, and narrative therapy, although I'll tailor my approach to your specific needs and goals. Whether you're dealing with a serious life change or just need to process daily challenges, I can help.
I am trained in Marriage and Family Counseling and have experience with families and adolescents in school and community settings, as well as couples and individuals. I have helped many people overcome anxiety, depression, PTSD, and trauma, and I specialize in working with couples in non-traditional/poly-amorous relationships. I am also a certified health coach who can help with weight loss, disordered or emotional eating, body image, and health and lifestyle changes.
Seeking help takes bravery, so I congratulate you on taking that first step to improve your life. You do not need to be defined by your past - your story can be changed or altered to reflect the best version of who you are, and I'm honored to be a part of that journey.

Lorraine is the best thing that could have happened to me at this point of my life. She is super nice and makes me feel like I'm talking to a good friend rather than a therapist.
