About me

Hello, my name is Lorry and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have a Master’s of Social Work from the University of Utah with an undergraduate degree in Human Services. I have worked with children and families for over 20 years with direct clinical interventions for the past 6 years. I have experience in child welfare, crisis situations, post traumatic stress disorder, substance abuse and trauma interventions. I have provided therapeutic services to individuals, couples, children and the elderly with a wide range of situational issues and severe mental illness. Most recently I've been working with woman that are incarcerated in prison. I enjoy working with people and love what I do. My practice and approach with people is a firm belief that we all deserve peace, empathy, encouragement and unconditional positive regard no matter the circumstance. I believe there is a great deal of power in education, communication and connection.

My scope of practice includes looking at the person as a whole. This includes looking at your support system, self care, coping skills, diet, exercise and basic needs. What works for some may not work for all and this is a collaboration to meet you where you are and expand on your current strengths. I have trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Veteran specific PTSD.

I am very happy to be given the opportunity to take this journey with you.

Lorry is by far a down to earth person. She listens, suggests things to try, and very professional. She makes me feel I'm talking to a best friend. I didn't think I could talk to a stranger but she made me feel like a friend from our first encounter. I felt very comfortable talking to her. Thank you lorry for being far from what I was expecting a therapist to be. I appreciate you!!!

Although I haven't been working with Lorry long, I do know that she is very patient and asks many questions to learn more about me. I appreciate that she responds quickly and offers thoughtful, motivating articles as well. I look forward to exploring with Lorry ways to resolve issues that I've been struggling with. It's comforting to know she is there to lend an ear and offer advice.
