My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness, solution focused, and motivational interviewing. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. I am here to create a safe space for you to tell your story without judgement. I will come along side you to help you make positive choices to create increased self love, and healthier and more fulfilling relationships with others.

My counselor, Lou Ellen Johnson, is AMAZING. I absolutely adore her. She is kind and patient. I personally seclude myself when I start to get depressed or have too many things going on that overwhelm me and Mrs. Lou Ellen is constantly supporting me and encouraging me to participate but does not push me. She may use a little reverse psychology to get me to continue but ultimately she is just trying to help me.
I love how relatable she is and so comfortable to talk to. I typically have a hard time expressing myself, but Mrs. Lou Ellen is so easy to talk to. I am not a very proud person, but she has been so great with encouragement and with explaining certain things that she has helped me be proud of myself and so much more confident.
In the short amount of time that I have been speaking with Mrs. Lou Ellen, I have overcome many different obstacles that I have not had the courage to in many years.
I am a private person and shut down a lot, but BetterHelp is now an essential in my life. I am so happy that I started and if I could shout to every person in the world how amazing my specific counselor is, I would! She is AWESOME! Definitely not the typical therapist, she makes things fun and helps you be confident in yourself. The BEST decision I have made so far!!
